As the frontman for the Vancouver-based powerpop band, The Capitals, Patrick Jacobson built his reputation writing endearing, dulcet anthems with crackerjack choruses and by staging blazing live performances all across Canada and the US. In addition, he has co-written songs and performed with The Top Drawers and The Luna Riot and played bass on three full-length albums. His songs have garnered high praise by the press, they've been featured in movies and television shows, and they've even been showcased by Andrew Loog Oldham on Little Steven's Underground Garage in New York. As a result, Jacobson has had the good fortune of working with many Canadian music icons including Kevin Kane (The Grapes of Wrath), Steven Drake (Odds), Daniel Adair (Nickelback/3 Doors Down), Richard Baker (Doug & The Slugs), Wayne Stadler (Zuckerbaby), and Ryan Dahle (Age of Electric/Limblifter).
Patrick is now working on a new full-length album of original material; his first as a frontman since The Capitals released 'Broadcast One.' In the meantime, he's on a cross-Canada tour as the bassist with The Autumn Portrait and he's performing solo acoustic shows featuring his new songs as well as favorites from The Capitals, The Top Drawers, and The Luna Riot.
